Newington Village FC are delighted to announce their new shirt sponsors for season 2008/09. They have teamed up with Sunlight Development Trust and will wear the trusts' logo on their shirts for the forthcoming football season.
The Sunlight Development Trust combine a mix of services aimed at everyone within the community; nobody being excluded. Their overriding aim is to improve health inequity and wellbeing by providing an improved range of social, medical and community activities.
The Trust say they are not easy to categorise; and their direction is led by the communities with whom they work and as such they get involved in a massive range of activities and services. All of the Trusts' services are guided by the National Occupational Standards of community development and they aspire to build thriving social enterprises that provide training and employment opportunities as well as profit which underpins the core costs of running the organisation.
All other profit is re-invested into community services such as youth activities or mental health services, which are not about making money but rather providing useful community services and creating improved well being.
